Today, a verse from surah an-Naml was posted, with the following translation: "... And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude." Did you remember to say Alhamdulillah today?

gemsofjannah - We think we are too good for everyone, better than everyone. Yet we are the same in every way, the only thing which separates us is our deeds and the states of our hearts. - We are all here with the same motive, the same destination. We're not here to settle for eternity, rather to strive for a life of immortal bliss. - Today we are mortal beings. Tomorrow in the hereafter we will become immortal. Whatever we have prepared for, that's where our immortality will lie. - Think now, think how it feels to be in your comfy bed, how it feels to be nice and cosy, how it feels to be at ease and peace. Yet one day this bed shall be upturned. This home shall be upturned. And our homes shall only be our graves. Will we find comfort therein? Or will we toss and turn due to unimaginable discomfort? - If we prepare well, if we pack our bags with the mere necessities, and abundant good deeds, then In shaa Allah we shall see the fruits of the effort which we have reaped throughout our lives. - We are here for a short while. For temporary comfort. Where we go hereon is entirely up to us. The decision is ours. - Did you remember to say Alhamdulillah today? Alhamdulillah for this breath of air, this sip of water, this bite of food -- bit of energy, this safety, this love from Allah, this faith? Say, "In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy - in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate."
(10:58) Here is a reminder to us all to stop/drop whatever we are doing today and to do something good. Whether that constitutes smiling, listening to/helping your parent(s), reading qur'an and making dhikr, assisting the elderly, or even raising your hands to make du'a, everything counts.
Allah says in surah Muhammad, ayat 2: "And those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down upon Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He will remove from them their misdeeds and amend their condition." The Prophet's wife Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah said: “O people, you should do whatever good deeds you can, for Allah does not get tired (of giving reward) until you get tired. And the most beloved of good deeds to Allah is that in which a person persists, even if it is little. If the family of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) started to do something, they would persist in it.” (Bukhari & Muslim) [And he (Musa عليه سلام) said,] 83. "My Lord, grant me authority (wisdom) and join me with the righteous. 84. And grant me a reputation of honor (honorable mention on the tongue of truth) among later generations. 85. And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure. 86. And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray. 87. And do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected - 88. The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children 89. But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart." (26:83-89)
firstly, we do not need a day to celebrate love when islam is all about love and respect, peace and goodness, mercy and justice. why dedicate just one day for love when everyday we should be thanking Allah for Islam and HIS love and HIS guidance? subhanAllah nowadays muslims celebrate valentine's, do they realize it is celebrating a saint? we are not people who are supposed to imitate the disbelievers, so why do we?

ig//gemsofjannah: Mistakes are inevitable; what's important is how you come back from your mistakes.2/1/2016 gemsofjannah When you slip up time and time again, you begin to give up on yourself. You begin to feel as though it's just not worth putting up a fight for, that it's beyond your ability to stay away from falling in to error, but really you are subconsciously telling yourself that your emaan is not worth striving for, that it's not worth fighting to hold on to, and this pleases Shaytaan more than anyone else. -
But you know that there's someone who loves you. Someone so great, so glorified and exalted to whom you mean a great deal. Someone who has given you everything, just so that you may remember, so that you may be grateful. But when you give up on yourself, is that gratitude? When that someone gives you tonnes of chances, is giving up a sign of gratitude? - Allah, your Lord, your Creator and your Sustainer, He loves you. And these mistakes of yours, are not the end of the world. So don't give up on yourself. Allah's mercy encompasses all. So if you wish to be engulfed by it, then the steps are simple. Be sincere in your regret and remorse, let your heart soften and allow your tears to fall for Him alone. For those tears are precious, invaluable. And tears are in fact a sign of your connection with Allah. So let them flow in abundance, as they'll help you draw closer to Him. Just don't give up. Don't be hopeless. Don't be helpless. Don't be weak. Because Allah loves the strong believer. So be strong. - When you fall in to error, and then turn to Allah in repentance, He will show you an abundance of His mercy and forgiveness. Without making mistakes, you wouldn't become accustomed to Allah's Forgiving and Merciful nature. You wouldn't recognise the shade of His mercy. - A beautiful Hadith Qudsi: “My slave commits sin, then he says, ‘O Allah, forgive me my sin.’ Then Allah says, ‘My slave has committed a sin, but he knows that he has a Lord Who forgives sin and takes away sin. So I forgive My slave.’ Then he commits sin again, and says, ‘O Allah, forgive me my sin.’ Then Allah says, ‘My slave has committed a sin, but he knows that he has a Lord Who forgives sin and takes away sin. So I forgive My slave.’" (Bukhari and Muslim.) - |
