gemsofjannahThe craving within your soul exists merely because of a longing to be united with someone who is foreign to you in these lands, yet was well known to you in the Land of Souls. -
It may be so that there is a longing to recite Quran to them, or to have it recited to you. It may be so that there is a longing to lead salah, or be led in salah. It may be so that there is a longing to fulfill half your deen, or have half of yours fulfilled. - The longing is a beautiful one, for it is the calling of the soul. The soul calls to be comforted by words uttered by a familiar voice, much like the colliding of the waves against one another, the words uttered by this voice will collide with your heart and bring it to feel whole. The soul is calling out for an embrace, not the physical kind but rather the spiritual kind, the kind which brings the soul alive. The soul calls out for a smile, a smile which gleams off the face of one whose eyes sparkle bright with love. The soul calls out and a beautiful call it is indeed. - All because those moments spent in the realm of souls were embedded deep within, and now the soul only yearns to relive such moments in this ephemeral world with a familiar companion. With a greater longing this time though, a longing to again relive such moments in the gardens of Paradise, an eternal world. - The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Souls are like conscripted soldiers; those whom they recognize, they get along with, and those whom they do not recognize, they will not get along with.’ [Bukhari] - - Mufti Menk ig//sisteraid's note on giving with kindness as charity:Every act of kindness is charity. Life is too short. We may not be here tomorrow. Do whatever you can to help others. Doesn't have to be anything extraordinary it could be as simple as: ▪ Be there for someone, give them advice ▪ Help someone with their shopping ▪ Hold the door open for someone ▪ Share a smile ▪ Forgive someone, everyone ▪ Donate some money even just £1 ▪ Make duaa for someone ▪ Give up your seat, not just for the elderly ▪ Say something nice to someone ▪ Make someone laugh ▪ Share your food (I wouldn't) ▪ Be grateful ▪ Volunteer ▪ Be the first to say sorry ▪ Buy a inspirational book for a friend ❤ If you have anymore ideas feel free to list them! DO NOT HELP OTHERS WITH THE INTENTION TO GET SOMETHING BACK. GIVE TO GIVE. DO NOT EXPECT ANYTHING OUT OF IT, BUT THE CONTENTMENT THAT COMES FROM HAVING BEEN ABLE TO HELP A BROTHER OR SISTER. DO NOT BELITTLE THOSE WHO ASK FOR HELP; DO NOT TURN THEM AWAY IF YOU CAN HELP. THOSE WHO GIVE ARE WELL LOVED BY ALLAH (SWT).gemsofjannahThe believing woman when seeking a spouse does not just seek a man. She seeks a man of Quran, a man of Sunnah, a man of Deen. A man of 'amal (action.) -
It does not suffice her - merely knowing that he is a male, and has the qualities of a man. What suffices, is knowing that he strives to attain the qualities of a real man, the qualities of Allah's Messenger ﷺ as he was the best man to walk on the face of this earth. And men come in all shapes and sizes, but real men only appear when they adorn themselves with acting upon the Qurand and Sunnah. - She's not saying that he has to be the most perfect creature on earth, of course not because that would be impossible. What she's saying, is that he needs to try. He needs to try to be a man of Quran, Sunnah and Deen. - Big muscles, nice cars and a flash house will not amaze her. It won't make her jaws drop in awe. What will amaze her is the fact that he will try to implement the little details of Sunnah which people fail to notice. For instance, his use of the Miswaak before he goes to pray. Or his consistent effort in reciting Quran even just a bit when he can, every day. Perhaps even the fact that he dresses himself using the Sunnah method or that he will remind you to do so. - These things which appear to be insignificant in the eyes of many men, are the things which will make him most valuable in her eyes. And there is nothing more beautiful than a man who adorns himself with acting upon the Quran and Sunnah, because through these two he may cloak himself with Taqwa. - So really, the believing woman does not ask for much from her husband. She only asks for that which Allah and His Messenger ﷺ ask for, from him. And this is because she doesn't want the diamonds of this world, rather she wants to enjoy the diamonds of the hereafter with him. - Hasan al-Basri used to say this to his peers often.
You've got to read these posts, mashaAllah they are beautiful!
your.ukht #StoryTime A Qur`ān teacher always advised her students to live by this ayah: “And I hurried to You, my Lord, so that You'll be pleased.” [Tāhā, 20:84] He (Musa) said: "They are close on my footsteps, and I hastened to You, O my Lord, that You might be pleased." She told them, “This ayah is what moves me. When I hear the Adhān and I'm in occupied and the middle of something, I remind myself of this ayah and so i get up to pray.”
_____ “When my alarm goes off at 2am and I want to go back to sleep I remember: “And I hurried to You my Lord so you'll be pleased” and so I get up. _____ Her husband had the following arrangement with her: on his way home from work he'd call her so she'll get the food hot & ready, so he can come home and eat & sleep. _____ One day he asked her to make mahshi (stuffed grape-leaves - very time consuming. You wrap many of them and put the pot of them on the stove to cook). She had 3 more to wrap then she had to put them on the stove to cook. _____ But the Adhān came on... So she left the 3 remaining grape-leaves (which would have taken her 5 mins) and went to pray. Her husband kept calling & calling but there was no answer. _____ He came home and found her in sujood and food not ready. He saw there were only 3 grape-leaves left. So he was upset & said, “You could have just finished them & put the pot to cook then pray!” _____ No response. He went to her to discover she had died in her sujood! _____ Subhan'Allāh! Had she waited like any of us to 'finish whats in her hand' she would have died in the kitchen! But a person dies upon what they lived on and by. And they are resurrected on what they died on. Whilst reading through a dua book today, I stumbled across the dua which the Imam recited during tahajjud prayers during Ramadan, those very words which melted the heart and brought coolness to it then, are the very same words which bring a longing and regret to the heart now. -
How blessed we were to be present during such a blessed month. How blessed were we to begin it in His name, and to end it in His name. How blessed were we to worship with the pious ones, to fast with the pious ones, to devote ourselves with the pious ones. How blessed were we to have been gathered in a month of mercy and blessings, to pray and to fast and carry out that which had been ordained by The Most Merciful. And how very blessed were we to complete a full month of worship, purely and sincerely for Allah. - A beautiful month indeed has passed us by, and sometimes we feel regretful that we didn't use absolutely every moment to our advantage. But then we must remember that He who was forgiving thousands upon thousands of servants throughout that month, is still the One who forgives today. He who was accepting duas prior to Iftar, is still the One who accepts duas today. He who was freeing necks from the fire every night, is still the One who can free necks from the fire today. - So make the most of every moment of your life and remember that Allah is with you, and everything which you could achieve during Ramadan, you can still achieve outside of Ramadan, today. - The ever so beautiful dua which was recited most beautifully by the Imam: َ Ameen. - All year round we wait for Ramadan to arrive, and it could have been such that Allah gives Ramadan and then takes Ramadan away, but if that was the case we would feel extreme grief. So instead Allah rewards us with Eid, a dunyawi reward. To grant us something else to look forward to, to enjoy because He wants to see us happy, because we are His servants and He loves us. The ultimate reward He will grant us is Jannah, but we as insaan desire immediate gratification so He sends Eid, so that our hearts be comforted and we be not grieved. How Merciful is our Lord? -
We learn another thing from this. Sometimes Allah gives us a blessing for a fixed time and then takes it away, but in the process of taking it away He puts something else in its place, and it may not always be something better, for what is 1 day in comparison to 30? But it's something which creates satisfaction in the heart and brings about the rays of contentment being bestowed upon the believers' hearts. So if Allah has removed something from you, now is the time to ask for something which brings you contentment, in place of that loss. - !تقبل الله منا و منكم - May Allah accept from you and us! I pray you have a wonderful Eid and that your day is filled with happiness and bliss. Today is Allah's gift to you. So take advantage of it, be grateful and remember Him in abundance. Eid Mubarak! Remember me and my family in your duaas. 😊 - On a side note: Please do not spoil this blessing with sin, think about how good you've been this month, don't ruin it just for one day; as actions are according to their ending. - |
