ig//gemsofjannah: Mistakes are inevitable; what's important is how you come back from your mistakes.2/1/2016 gemsofjannah When you slip up time and time again, you begin to give up on yourself. You begin to feel as though it's just not worth putting up a fight for, that it's beyond your ability to stay away from falling in to error, but really you are subconsciously telling yourself that your emaan is not worth striving for, that it's not worth fighting to hold on to, and this pleases Shaytaan more than anyone else. -
But you know that there's someone who loves you. Someone so great, so glorified and exalted to whom you mean a great deal. Someone who has given you everything, just so that you may remember, so that you may be grateful. But when you give up on yourself, is that gratitude? When that someone gives you tonnes of chances, is giving up a sign of gratitude? - Allah, your Lord, your Creator and your Sustainer, He loves you. And these mistakes of yours, are not the end of the world. So don't give up on yourself. Allah's mercy encompasses all. So if you wish to be engulfed by it, then the steps are simple. Be sincere in your regret and remorse, let your heart soften and allow your tears to fall for Him alone. For those tears are precious, invaluable. And tears are in fact a sign of your connection with Allah. So let them flow in abundance, as they'll help you draw closer to Him. Just don't give up. Don't be hopeless. Don't be helpless. Don't be weak. Because Allah loves the strong believer. So be strong. - When you fall in to error, and then turn to Allah in repentance, He will show you an abundance of His mercy and forgiveness. Without making mistakes, you wouldn't become accustomed to Allah's Forgiving and Merciful nature. You wouldn't recognise the shade of His mercy. - A beautiful Hadith Qudsi: “My slave commits sin, then he says, ‘O Allah, forgive me my sin.’ Then Allah says, ‘My slave has committed a sin, but he knows that he has a Lord Who forgives sin and takes away sin. So I forgive My slave.’ Then he commits sin again, and says, ‘O Allah, forgive me my sin.’ Then Allah says, ‘My slave has committed a sin, but he knows that he has a Lord Who forgives sin and takes away sin. So I forgive My slave.’" (Bukhari and Muslim.) -
