Whilst reading through a dua book today, I stumbled across the dua which the Imam recited during tahajjud prayers during Ramadan, those very words which melted the heart and brought coolness to it then, are the very same words which bring a longing and regret to the heart now. -
How blessed we were to be present during such a blessed month. How blessed were we to begin it in His name, and to end it in His name. How blessed were we to worship with the pious ones, to fast with the pious ones, to devote ourselves with the pious ones. How blessed were we to have been gathered in a month of mercy and blessings, to pray and to fast and carry out that which had been ordained by The Most Merciful. And how very blessed were we to complete a full month of worship, purely and sincerely for Allah. - A beautiful month indeed has passed us by, and sometimes we feel regretful that we didn't use absolutely every moment to our advantage. But then we must remember that He who was forgiving thousands upon thousands of servants throughout that month, is still the One who forgives today. He who was accepting duas prior to Iftar, is still the One who accepts duas today. He who was freeing necks from the fire every night, is still the One who can free necks from the fire today. - So make the most of every moment of your life and remember that Allah is with you, and everything which you could achieve during Ramadan, you can still achieve outside of Ramadan, today. - The ever so beautiful dua which was recited most beautifully by the Imam: َ Ameen. -
